P1’s 2026 Back-to-School Initiative
P1 announced a free community back-to-school event for August 8, 2026 at Orlando’s Rosemont Neighborhood Center. The initiative brings families, volunteers, businesses and nonprofits together around a shared goal: helping students take their next step with confidence.

Haircuts
A fresh haircut can help a student start the school year feeling confident. This activity connects families with haircut support and the people giving their time to help children get ready.
A space for a fresh look, a friendly conversation and a confident first day.
02 / MAKE ROOM FOR JOY
Face Painting
School readiness can be a celebration, too. Face painting adds color and creativity to the day, giving children a playful moment while families connect with the community.

Backpack Giveaway
A backpack is a small thing that carries a big part of a student’s day. This giveaway focuses on helping families prepare children for school with a useful everyday essential.

Dry Food & Pantry Resources
School preparation happens alongside everyday family needs. Dry food and shelf-stable pantry resources are part of the initiative’s practical approach to supporting families.
